Peyton's Big Damn Band. <br /> <br />Saloon times on Shelby and O'Brien's St. Patty's Day Show <br />were highlights in March... the Detour then headed way West <br />to Phoenix, Arizona to reside at the House Studios. <br />Acoustic pride rang through the Fiddler's Dream, <br />the blues basement of Monroe's Blues jammin' with <br />Chico Chism and Paris James and the hepcat hangout: <br />the Willow House. Artistic travels with Robert and April Anderson <br />and Willy the Bassett Hound to the mindful and illegeal activities <br />with Professor Jeff Cochran... dub-jam with Confushia. <br />A push in fine art paintings and desert ballads <br />that carry a thin shade of dust. <br /> <br />Back to Indiana for the June Jamboree... <br />the Highway Kind, the Midwest Contraband and the Sarkastiks <br />covering the Easyfields music...rugged, raspy and random. <br />Solo busting vibes at the Crabtree's Lounge. <br />Return engagements in stride <br />at the Melody Inn and the Hideaway in Indy. <br />A relentless schedule of back-to-back shows. <br />Strumming for Govenor Kernan, <br />sharing the bill with Rev. Peyton <br />and Zobra Rose within Fractured Folk... <br />the most moving moments of the 4th Ever Burr Oak Fest <br />and my favorite performance ever <br />at Bill Monroe's Bean Blossom Park...whew! <br />Thanx to the Tecumseh Flyers and one Stringtown Picker. <br /> <br />Detour rolled to the homestead of Knox... <br />fine time at the Nickel Plate Depot. <br />Bubbas Bowling Club opening with <br />Acoustic Showcases and Highway Kind Revues. <br />Not to forget nice write-ups inside <br />the Indianapolis Business Journal, <br />Whatz Up Magazine and the new INTake. <br />September When? No stoppin' this strum-cycle! <br />Birdy's was a drunken hoot... <br />Mad Anthony's an excellent return to Fort Wayne... <br />steady rockin' for the Distillery... <br />the harmonica/guitar jam with Al Young, <br />Big Tuba Ron Fire and the Beech Grove Gleaner's Food Benefit <br />was a good people party: southside! <br /> <br />Now of course this year has not been perfection. <br />The desert had some hungry days, Monroe's was a great place <br />to play blues and get them from a drunken happy-go-lucky owner.. <br />.good paying gigs canceled.
